Give your agents a login, not a password

Agents open their own window in a signed-in identity over MCP or the HTTP API. They read pages and press buttons; they never get cookies or passwords, and they ask a person before anything that matters.

Agents come with Starter and Pro. Every agent is free; they use browser hours.

Connect the way your agent already works

Make an agent in your workspace, pick the identities it may use, and copy its key. Keys start with jp_live_ and are shown once.

MCP

Add Joinpane to any MCP client. Your agent gets tools to open a window, read the page, click, type and send Drive files.

Paste this into your agent’s MCP settings and replace the key.

HTTP API

For your own code. Open a window, then read the page as text with a screenshot and a list of what can be pressed.

The first call returns the window’s id; the second returns the page.

What an agent gets, and what it doesn’t

It gets

  • The page as text, with a screenshot
  • Buttons, links and fields it can press or fill in
  • Files from Drive to upload, and downloads saved to Drive
  • Its own window and tabs, which anyone with access can watch

It doesn’t get

  • Cookies, session tokens or saved passwords
  • Password fields, unless an admin allows it
  • Other people’s windows
  • Any way around a website’s own checks

It asks a person first

When an agent reaches a step that can’t be undone, it stops and asks. The question goes to the people you pick, all at once or one after another, and the first answer is the one used.

  1. 1Agent pauses

Uploader reaches Publish, stops, and writes down why it needs a person.

  2. 2Phones get the question

Mei and Rin get a push with the agent’s screenshot and its question.

  3. 3First answer wins

Mei answers first. Rin’s phone updates to show it’s handled.

  4. 4Agent carries on

Uploader publishes, and the audit log records who said yes.

Asks first by defaultSet each agent to ask first, go ahead or never, per kind of step. If nobody answers, the agent keeps waiting.

Watch any agent live

Every agent works in a window with a dashed frame, so you always know it isn’t a person. Anyone with access to the identity can watch it, see its steps, pause it or take over.

Taking over pauses the agent. It picks up from the next step when you hand back.

Human checks go to a human

When a website asks to prove you’re a person, the agent stops and we tell the team. Someone solves it in their own window and the agent carries on. Joinpane never solves these checks, and never tries to get around a website’s security.

Sent to the people who look after Uploader. Agents also wait for a person when a website signs them out.

Limits you set per agent

Admins decide where each agent may go and how much it may use. Changes take effect on its next step and go in the audit log.

Agents are free and use browser hours

An hour counts while an identity’s browser runs with someone in it. An agent working next to a person in the same identity uses the same hour, and a sleeping identity uses none.

Browser hours included
100 h on Starter. Shared by your people and agents.
After that
Set an hours limit per agent so nothing runs away.

Give your first agent a window

Sign in to the website once yourself, then hand your agent a key. You stay in the loop for everything that matters.
